current state of affairs on the Amiga keyboard traces, i got it like this from the person i bought i from https://computerfairi.es/media/TXD3-6cFUv2j2t6qxKM
attempted repair.. looks like this might be the only trace broken, even if the rest isn't great
considering putting clear nail polish on the rest but worried it might make it worse
need to see if i have a replacement for that blue cap https://computerfairi.es/media/0mxuJOfY7A3DIIX0UAE https://computerfairi.es/media/PcoJEV9dLrCm9DWoazQ
cap cleanup.. none of the original pads remain but shouldn't be hard to tap into the ones the old owner/technician uncovered, apparently with a jackhammer https://computerfairi.es/media/omA7Lz2K43RCJgYjquk
cap replacement looks good but i think the via at the top is supposed to go to some other pin because now there's a short across the new cap? i think i just read the schematic wrong (having a picture of a non destroyed board without the caps would help IMMENSELY)
oh my circuits all rows are working
only the spacebar doesn't seem to be cooperating well because the conductive pad below it might be worn out
this is the first time I've gotten this keyboard working properly since i bought this back in 2007

and now that i have this rgb cable i can FINALLY play PAL games in the proper resolution and colour aaaa https://computerfairi.es/media/r_u6fxUTtmwtsS5gTAI
@squirrel nICE!!!
@squirrel woo! go you!
@squirrel hell yeah!
@squirrel if I were any good at art I'd be drawing a picture of you wearing overalls and brandishing a soldering iron as "Repair Girl maple"
@squirrel ooh, that's awesome!
measuring continuity across every key pads showed around 100-300 ohm across each, except for the spacebar which showed over 1k. so i took some conductive paint and put some over the pad and dried it with a hair drier, now the spacebar measures around 100 ohms and works perfectly!
