and no, i can't tune, but it is picking up a specific station and i don't like this quiet music only happening in my left ear

@squirrel actual helpful suggestions: move the cable around a bit, try shielded cables, or put one of those little ferrite core thingys on it
i coiled the headphone cord a few times to create a crude inductor and twisty tied it in place, that seems to have removed the fm interference, whew
