Little bits and pieces that have remained in my usual parlance because of using various comms systems a while ago:
"CHECK CHECK CHECK" - SHUT THE FUCK UP ON COMMS YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS
"sorry, say again?" - could you repeat that please
"tak" - a dash
@arielmt there were a bunch of vets around so I wouldn't be surprised if they brought that stuff from there
@troubleMoney Mostly the same, thanks to Navy training with sound-powered phones. I was taught to say "silence on the line" for the first example, and to spell a dash as "tack" (same as the sailing maneuver term).
