random memory, the smell of churches in england
i ... dislike that horrid scent so much, that weird, cloying smell they have.
I dunno what it is but i hate it.
@Nine I don't remember a smell (although the last time I was in one was over a decade ago) but I certainly caught a weird vibe
@Nine did a tour of various churchy things in Florence as part of an arty history type course and didn't pick it up there so I have no idea what's up with the CofE
@troubleMoney Catholic churches in england seem to have it too? at least I think so, I was raised roman catholic (putting the "Ick" into catholic!) for a while so saw a lot of those sorta churches, went to CoE in middle school, then stopped about secondary school with the church thing entirely as much as I could (still had to go to the cathedral in my homnetown sometimes for school and i hated that soooo much D: )
