I've just been informed that in the US, there's "Boss's Day"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boss%27s

What the fucking fuck is this bullshit

@troubleMoney i love how it's officially called "World Boss's Day" but it's only observed in the US

@troubleMoney i was literally going to write that but decided against it 😹
absolutely like the World Series.

@troubleMoney @somarasu me neither, I'm european. but like, even the world series is more international than that

@somarasu @troubleMoney calling this horrendous crime of a 'day' international boss's day is even worse since it celebrates america's "WE LEAD THE WORLD"

without being even vaguely international

baseball

@troubleMoney @a_breakin_glass
there's really only one team currently located in Canada in MLB (Toronto Blue Jays).
The Montreal Expos relocated to Washington and are now the Washington Nationals.

The Japanese MIIIIGHTTT care about the World Series. Maybe. But they probably have their own version of the World Series. Probably more appropriately named.

baseball

@somarasu @a_breakin_glass the Japanese one is probably more entertaining what with their strange Colonel Sanders-based curses

@troubleMoney "The purpose of designating a special day in the workplace is to show the appreciation for her bosses she thought they deserved. "

that appreciation is zilch, nada, nothing

"chose October 16, which was her father's birthday. She was working for her father at the time."

bootlicking + nepotism =

@troubleMoney New Wikipedia category: Things that can fuck off.

I'm sure there's plenty of articles that would go in there, but this would be the first.

@troubleMoney
>This day was created for the purpose of strengthening the bond of servitude between employer and employee.

Oh you can fuck right off with that shit.

@troubleMoney this was marked as a holiday on the calendar my company gave out to us last year 🙄
