I've got really sensitive face skin so I've tried a lot of different razors through the years to try and find one that doesn't make me look like I've lost a fight with a cheesegrater

I've tried electric shavers, I've tried multi-bladed contraptions, I've tried highly adjustable stainless steel double edge razors

Y'know the one that's worked best so far?

A 99p travel razor made out of chinese pot metal with 10p astra blades

shaving

@troubleMoney i can't find the one that worked best for me in stores anymore (it's a disposable-ish one) and i'm down to my last one and getting panicky

the next best are super expensive 5 blade imports

shaving

@squirrel oof, I hope the shops get some of the ones that work for you in soon

shaving

@troubleMoney gillette pretty much has a monopoly here and safety razors are not really a thing

shaving

@squirrel yeah, I'm really lucky as I can get astra blades off amazon, if I was stuck to stores around here it'd be all gillette products

shaving

@troubleMoney the one that worked for me best is a national brand's rip off of the 5 blade fusion that costs less than a fifth of the price

shaving

@squirrel you might be able to find dorco razors somewhere, they're the same company that make the ones for dollar shave club and other similar companies, I've heard they're decent

shaving

@troubleMoney doubt it, id have to import

even the fusion blades in stores here are imported so they're fucking expensive (lesser blades are made here)

shaving

@squirrel yeah, there seems to be a competition between manufacturers as to how many blades they can cram on the things

shaving

@troubleMoney i love it

like it seems ridiculous but, it works, somehow

shaving

@squirrel one of these days they'll introduce a razor that's a half metre long and have a thousand blades or something

you just rub your face on it in the morning
