@troubleMoney Mind you, that does bring to the fore the Very Good thing about open sourced federated services: they are extremely affordable to participate in.
I don't see the problem or the reason for begging for money? On https://instances.social/list/old it shows computerfairi.es using version 2.3.3 with only 241 users and 103,750 toots. That is easily hosted for 9-10 dollars or even euros per month at most.
This is coffee money for anyone working in the western world.
