talking about dommeing

@Jacki@radical.town for sure! i think it depends on what kinda vibe a specific scene is going for, but i mostly wanted to toss that idea at you so that you have it in your toolbox if the scene is a different vibe - or if you're doing something like i was with sensory deprivation shit (they can't know the next hit from the cane is coming if they're listening to white noise and blindfolded instead OHOHOHOHO etc etc insert domme oujo laugh here)

in which a spoonie whines about exceedingly minor health nonsense

this is day three of my left-hand pointer finger twitching off and on, roughly a full cm in towards my other fingers, back and forth.

@ muscles: 1) why, B) please desist, III) i will pay you money if you stop

talking about dommeing

@Jacki@radical.town it worked pretty well and can probably be refined for sure. if you're ever working with a sub where they're like "for this scene it's kind of an aggravating thing to have you sincerely asking all the time, can we do something that will keep the fictional setup more in place", maybe consider something like that. it gives that option for a lot more feedback still so that everyone is comfortable, but in a way that's maybe slightly less intrusive.(3/3)

talking about dommeing

@Jacki@radical.town have a signal that your sub knows is a check-in - i was doing some sensory dep shit so for me it was a tap on the shoulder. just something distinct that can't be missed. and whenever you do that, it's basically a check-in, i just went with a stop light system. green = everything is amazing please keep going. yellow = keep going but modify (not so hard/not there/etc). red = FULL STOP, equivalent to safe word. end scene immediately, straight to aftercare (2/?)

talking about dommeing

@Jacki@radical.town just wandering past, not that i've dommed in a hot minute, but if you ever come to a point where you want that constant input and feedback there's a system that i've found helpful - this doesn't replace a safeword but it i think is a good additional system (especially if your sub is like WHY DO YOU KEEP INTERRUPTING ME) - wow this is not many characters hol up 1/?

problem: hungry, have cheddar chex mix to eat, but also want to do my nails :paw_fx90_nail_varnish:

solution: time to practice using chopsticks

i will say that so far what i've played of it, i'm very impressed by the warframe port to . it still looks really good and has played smooth as butter for me, moreso than my laptop in some respects. my feelings might change once i actually get set up with a tv and can play doing more than squinting at the travel screen, but, y'know, still quite pleased

it's a good time, is what i'm saying. it's the best way to enjoy warframe. trust me. just put vaporwave in your ears and absolutely go to town on some mooks. trust me on this.

wait a second i think i forgot to actually put the picture on it. oeerr. anyway. yes. switch account, still keeping my vaporwave death chicken. because honestly... if you've never played warframe while listening to night tempo's album pure baby maker while blasting enemies with pink fire, you haven't really enjoyed warframe as a game

my pc account on does have one major advantage over the one on my switch: some EXTREMELY GOOD SPACE BOYES

"harp you know you could have just cloned your account over right" ok listen i wanted to replay it from the ground up and have an excuse to give d-e money just roll with it

this is from before i remembered to redecorate, but... did i toss more money at on switch so i could be a vaporwave death chicken on the go? yes. yes i did.

@KitsuneAlicia@octodon.social from one tenno who redecorated by splashing violent pink everywhere to another: I LOVE IT.

real talk about quinoa

so being aware of the general socio-political problems around quinoa... i remember the first time i tried it and i was all 'ah jeez there's no way to avoid this because it's being included in somebody's trendy dish', and honestly

y'all

it's not even that tasty.

like wtf. it's just kinda, well, ok, this is a grain i guess. it is not worthy of all the culinary wankery. just have some nice brown rice instead y'all

hardest parts of getting used to mastodon:

1. observing how to use the CW function to properly set up and deliver jokes (instead of just shoving like 3 more funnies into the tags in a breathless mumble)

2. it's mastOdon not masAdon!!!!!!!!

"diet worry" is an excellent description of what my anxiety disorder feels like while i am medicated
