i think 'typical trans girl fashion' and lolita fashion both share a root, which is why (unsurprisingly) there are a lot of trans women i've seen wearing lolita and interested in it as well - both are "fuck you, i'm a girl", almost to what society might consider "tacky" or "overdone" or "too loud". it is feminine, and screams itself as thus.

if someone's being a dick, and yet others are preemptively blacklisting the person less for their dick behavior and far more for race/gender/etc, which is also a dick move,

it means sometimes that it's not one side that's vindicated, but rather, everyone there sucks. and you got yourself a spaceballs 'surrounded by assholes' moment.
