So thereโ€™s this company in USA that makes clothes for transmac/nb people and itโ€™s closing because they canโ€™t get funding to invest in more materialโ€ฆ they release the designs with measurements so you can make your clothes and to pass on all the research they did to make shirts and trousers and jumpers that fit as you would like a cis male garment fit but they donโ€™t because you have hips or butt or you donโ€™t bindโ€ฆ Iโ€™m sharing the link.

@jamiesaker Exactly the kind of computer nonsense that I enjoy reading about and/or doing, so you've earned me as a follow at least. ๐Ÿ‘โ€‹

netizen.club/~wildweasel/updat The much-delayed PRGE 2024 edition of the Golfshrine Acquisitions Update! Got a couple of especially interesting and long-needed additions to the Shrine this time around, so check it out - do it for Schmoe. Don't make Schmoe sad. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

after lusting for a copy of andrรฉ lamothe's Black Art of 3d Game Programming for years, i finally found an affordable copy

it does not disappoint. one of the fatal flaws of 95% of 3d game programming books is that they jump straight into mathematical proofs, instead of explaining in human terms how concepts are relevant to making a game. lamothe's programming concepts are clear, easy to understand, and provide real-world examples before diving into code

to my delight, the book doesn't limit itself to just 3d. it covers every conceivable topic for building a game engine from scratch in MS-DOS - and includes some great chapters on FM and wavetable synthesis!

@winampskins ooh, nice, the Windows "Whistler" (Watercolor) theme. Heard a story once this was a "decoy" theme designed to show off the impending Windows XP's visual theme support without revealing Luna to the world.

The wait is over. HTML for People is OUT NOW!

I feel strongly that anyone should be able to make a website with HTML if they want. This web book will teach you how to do just that. It doesnโ€™t require any previous experience making websites or coding. I will cover everything you need to know to get started in an approachable and friendly way.

And itโ€™s free for all. ๐Ÿš€

Even if it's always going to be covered by application windows, it's always nice to put my own photographs on my desktop wallpaper. These came out really nice. At least I'll always glimpse them when I'm logging in to the machine in the morning.

...i do still have a couple of golfshrine updates that i still have not finished (or started) writing though, i'm tired, that's my excuse

last boost: one of the many things on my ever-growing to-do list is to eradicate my solitaire blog from wordpress hosting, and move it to my netizen.club space. every single time matt mullenweg opens his shitty little mouth, i notch that up the to-do list just a little bit more.

I think I just vaulted over the line between "WordPress is too much of a maintenance burden, I want to move away" to "I need to stop using WordPress. Now."

instead of hacking a non profit archival organization one could personally give matt mullenweg the world's largest wedgie

BitWarden is nice. BitWarden is not controlled by any corporation and you don't have to worry about it being someday confined to one platform or tied to some other product. BitWarden supports self-hosting. BitWarden supports passkeys.

All golf courses should be rewilded or made into public parks. No exceptions. As a priority, the 15 or so that are inside London should be immediately turned back to parkland.
