hate when this happens to me

13 years ago, I scanned every type of video game media I could find for a PCWorld feature. The original PCW link now has broken images, but I combined most of the slides into one image for fun

This is one of my favorite Amiga computer tracks by our game team's music composer Ramon Braumuller.

As a youngster, somewhere around 1990, I asked Ramon to try and squeeze the most out of the Amiga's four audio channels, and he delivered this track. ❤️

This isn't some currsed photoshop or a hack job - this is a real USB to TRRS (tip, ring, ring, sleeve) cable that came with a real product in the year 2000. The InterAct GoPad FX was a portable pad intended for laptops; there's an unnecessarily over-engineered socket and slot for that removable cable to slip into. USB Micro-B was still years away, Bluetooth was barely a thing, and any other wireless solution would be too bulky, so they chose an existing low-cost connector for the job - TRRS!

Owning a 3D printer in the vintage computing hobby is absolutely life changing. You go from being surrounded by a massive disorganized pile of old machines, to being surrounded by a massive disorganize pile of old machines, but none of them are missing port covers anymore.

Are you familiar with the notion that accessibility improves the experience of something for everyone, not just for people with disabilities? I thought of it again today when I saw the below pic posted by @vaurora with the caption ‘New gender just dropped’. And, like, I’ve seen a hundred of these, some amusing mistakes, some practical, but this one really resonated. Shared it with a gender-non-conforming friend who loved it, _but so do I_. I’m very comfortably cis, but _I’d_ choose that option.
