As a youngster around 1990 I started working on the first Dutch TV show that was completely created using a computer. An Amiga to be specific.
The show was called Mannetje & Mannetje, and featured a low-resolution mix of digitized photographs and drawn elements.
The magenta color was used for keying, using a Genlock device to record the footage to analog storage for broadcasting.

Good news everyone, MS-DOS is not affected by the #WebP image vulnerability!
All other operating systems and software you can think of (browsers, messengers, anything Electron-based, drawing programs, e-mail clients, etc. etc.) are so be sure to update everything you have.
If a program got a "performance improvements and bug fixes" update just after the 12th of September then it probably was vulnerable to this.

@wildweasel @mcc sounds like a game by Nicky Case? https://nothing-to-hide-demo.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html
@wildweasel @mcc during Coronageddon I had an idea for a game where players are watching a live actor on security monitors via their computers, and the live actor is trapped in a research facility with a monster on the loose. The players all have different views of the facility, so they have to work together to tell each other and the live actor where the monster is in relation to the actor, via seeing the actor and the monster on their screens, and help the actor solve puzzles to escape.
look at http://netizen.club and think if that looks like a place you want to contribute to. if the answer is yes get in touch with me
