I'm feeling poorly today, and that sucks. But also I figured out how to fully configure the MGR windowing system, so that's something (it's Linux and it's not X!). I'll record a video tour and take a bunch of screenshots a bit later.
Funny that MGR is a thing that is mostly not on the internet despite many people using it back in the days.

Rocknix is a linux distro that targets 'retro handhelds' like Retroid and Anbernic. Those devices normally run Android, which is currently in full fuck-you mode, so if I were to buy a retro handheld I would be running Rocknix on it instead.
However, bad news: I asked in the Rocknix discord if i can count on them to take an anti-fascist stance, and their response was, in a word, "no".
Specifically, I asked if they were centrist, they gave me a "no politics" warning, which is a pretty clear answer to that.
If anyone else on the team wants to correct me, I'll gladly edit this post.

I figured out how to make the client-side library work. The MGR client-server architecture is really clever, it really is graphical terminal emulator. Wowsers.
