this just in, Splinter Zone is still fun as heck and I play it a lot on my new Surface Pro. it runs... really well. :o Course I play it with extra damage dealt and less damage received, but I love that it gives those accessability options.

@Nine ooo... I'll have to pick that up one of these days, it looks really nice!

glad to hear about the accessibility options - I wish more games did things like that, to be honest

@Chel It's designed in such a way that when you boot the game up it loads a fake cracktro opening thing, with "cheats" you can set (such as how much damage you deal out (x1, x2 or x3) , how much damage you take from hits (x1, x05 and x0), whether you want unlimited ammo, or if you want "Tourist Mode" where I guess you can just explore without risking anything if you wish :D I think there's another one too but I forget what it is.

@Nine That... sounds absolutely delightful :psyduck:

now if only my Steam wishlist wasn't already twenty miles long x_x

@Chel oh yeah my steam wishlist is huge too .-.; and grows every time I think I'm done with wishlisting games
If it helps tho Splinter Zone is like £3.50 so... :) Plus it's got rad explosions, neat, very authentic DOS era pixel art, it's made by a mastodon user, @MOKKA , and the great music is by our very own @maple :D

@Nine wait, seriously??? okay, it's getting bumped right to the top :blobowo:

@Chel it's very On Brand . be prepared for big meaty gun noises and screenshake too. When I reviewed it I described it as "Vlambeer remakes Megaman 1-3" and I still feel that's pretty accurate.

@Nine so basically, what you're telling me is that it's perfect x3
