discord, warning about misinformation

There's a warning going around about Discord removing your right to sue, and recommends you opt out of their new thing

But the short version of the new thing is: You can still sue, but you have to tell Discord first so that they can try to resolve it before actually involving the legal system, and if it DOES end up in arbitration, Discord will actually pay the fee.

If you're considering opting out, please read the "Dispute Resolution" section very carefully

Some disclaimers I wanted in my original toot but ran out of characters:

‣ I'm not a lawyer. Don't take my advice assuming I'm an expert (but likewise don't do the same for the other advice floating around!)
‣ I'm not in the US, so the US legal system is not something I'm familiar with in any intimate way
‣ Read the Terms carefully. Come to your own conclusion. Or better: find someone who does actually know what they're talking about for legal advice
