currently conflicted between playing vanilla 1.14 or modded 1.12

I've been playing vanilla 1.14 - it looks so much better, and has so many additions over 1.12 that I just really like.

But I miss lots of things - I miss:
• having more than a couple of types of ores
• lots of interesting devices to construct
• a minimap.

idk what to do, really.

And I'm not really sure which modpack I should play

I think I'm going to try out Paths of Magic 3, but I'm also going to replace JourneyMap with Xaero's Minimap (which I don't actually know how to do, but I guess I'll try?)

@lizardsquid you just have to go into the mods folder and take out the journey jar and put the xaero jar

@efi it's a curseforge modpack, though, so it's just a list of ids in a json file

@lizardsquid but it downloads a local copy
you can also edit the json, I think you only need the CRC or MD5 or something to match it?

@efi I actually figured out a better option: in multimc, you can add or remove mods just by going to Edit Instance → Loader Mods
