I have just seen an advert for an IoT washing machine
I have no idea why anyone would want an IoT washing machine
@troubleMoney so you can flood your house with a washing machine without actually having to be in the house thanks to patented new No-Security IoT features that allow hackers to use it to DDOS the entire internet and also set it going at 3 in the morning when you're trying to sleep with nothing in it.

uh, this matters more for shared appliances than if you have your own, but people have been hacking together what are effectively IoT washing machines since way way before the term IoT existed. 🤷
