ooohh i'm getting cranky (because of pain (the chronic pain (that makes me disabled)))

turns out you can get nearly a hundred boosts and a bunch of replies agreeing with you about the pain and difficulties disabled people face, and yet no contributions/donations to making an actual disabled person's life a little easier, funny how that works. surely i didn't cross the dash of all 200 disabled people on the fediverse and nobody able bodied and with money to spare...

anyway, on happier topics, i left all my dart blasters at home in the uk when we came to brazil for 2 months, but i'm genuinely itching to mod something, and i'm considering getting one cheap here and then letting my fiancee's nephew have it when we leave. i guess i probably shouldn't increase the power if i do that

anyway i'm starting a union, the tired disabled trans girl union. we're gonna get jackets. and baseball bats. and ibuprofen

you know, this feels like a fun time to remind those of you able bodied out there, ally or not, you will be disabled eventually, unless you die very young. it might take 40 years for your hips to give out, or you might have a lifechanging accident in the next 30 minutes, but don't think you're better than me just because i've been disabled since i was a teenager. you'll know what it's like eventually. maybe start advocating for us now while you have working legs and arms and eyes

cause i'll be honest, if a platform doesn't allow sex workers under any circumstances, i consider it discriminatory, not just because a large proportion of poor trans women do sex work to survive, amongst other reasons, but because i can't get behind treating sex workers like that, cis or trans

you know, something that i just realized i don't know, are sex workers welcome on bluesky? like, are they allowed to be on there and post about sex work, assuming it's properly tagged, etc. because i've seen so many informative, good toots from sex workers on here and i have to wonder if that's why i don't get the appeal of blue sky
