@ceiphiedstarlight@queer.party My parents were pretty good in that regard as well, so it was definitely a bit of a rude awakening for me when I discovered that some people's parents are just downright bloody crazy when it comes to trying to enforce gender stereotypes on their children.

It's unfortunate, but... honestly from what I've seen, decent parents are a shockingly rare thing.

online culture, ethnicity (-)

ive been thinking a bit lately about online culture and offline identity

except for someone being intentionally deceptive, i can get a really good idea of their background and beliefs after reading their writing for a while

i wonder if others do the same? i sometimes wonder what people think of me online - im a black nerd and we don't seem very common on mastodon

i sometimes wonder how this impacts how people read what i write? for the better, for the worse?

after being awake for the better part of two or more hours, I've finally managed to drag myself out of bed :blobsleepless:

now to begin drowning my exhaustions away with coffee

@ceiphiedstarlight@queer.party that is entirely too awesome! I wish more parents were as forward thinking when it came to things like that.

@Roxxie_Riot @Scarly @moth@queer.garden @lynnesbian it’s definitely worth visiting! Really fun place imo

@wersimmon I need a way to just turn the hair off. Like a button or something.

lopunny

@wersimmon honestly? I think you nailed it.

@DragonessDella@octodon.social god I know that feel

Tall girls please help me

@dirt@lgbtq.cool my partner ( @Scarly ) is pretty tall, and orders a lot of stuff from long tall sally and land’s end, with really good results. Most other places haven’t worked out too hot. I don’t think there have been any issues in multiple years worth of orders

@softgoat you basically just described my irl partner.

Yes, @Scarly I’m calling you out.

@glitterbomb glad to hear that things are working out nicely for you here

Its definitely been a wonderful change of pace from... that other place

@jorin@catgirl.science seems like a hell of a pitch to me, tbh

@Eweish I mostly just remember the Eeves, myself. :blobthinking:

I was never really a Pokémon person myself, but have had a lot of friends that loooved those particular ones. And to be fair, Glaceon is adorable.

Food

@shadow8t4 This. This is a thing of beauty.

@mololabo welcome back to awakefulness! May your journey through the land of the awakened be pleasant and satisfying

@azushark took a quick look at the video and... that looked pretty amusing! I confess to not knowing anything about real time corruptors though!
