@Yza Honestly for a chunk of this I blame the 10 or so years of JustinTV and later Twitch and Mixer and FB pushing this idea of "Anyone can become the next Ninja/Summit/whatever! You just have to play the game properly and market properly and grind viewers hard enough!"
and it was never true, but it's ESPECIALLY not true now that we basically have a go-to celeb for every genre of content and competing with them is impossible. You get lucky or it doesn't happen.
People are starting to unclench from this idea they have to play that game or they're wasting their time.
