@atinyfairy If not, then they're suspiciously close. A lot of the level designs look pretty much identical too

In NetHack, I found the grave of another player who was killed by a wand of death, and I was immediately zapped with the same wand. Later, I found my own old grave of myself getting killed with a wand of death, and I was then immediately zapped with the wand of death again

I was close to the end of a NetHack run when a soldier picked up a cockatrice corpse and whacked me with it, turning me into stone. RIP me

Today is a very important day.

That's right, it's my cat's birthday.

@atinyfairy Yeah, he makes some great stuff. Anodyne is a personal favorite of mine

I recently played through All Our Asias, which is a short narrative game that's free on Steam. It was a nice experience, and I think it's worth checking out: store.steampowered.com/app/698

@squirrel I always say rowhters, but I alternate between the two pronunciations in other contexts for the word "route"

They call it NetHack 360 because when you see it, you turn 360 degrees and walk away

I finally got around to playing Gone Home. It was very nice & very gay. I recommend it if you haven't played it before

I ascended for the first time in any NetHack variant today, including vanilla. It was quite an experience. The variant I ascended in is FIQHack, which I mentioned earlier. Here's the log, if anyone is interested: hardfought.org/userdata/M/Mise
