hot take, "I stopped using..."
"I stopped using <popular browser/website/software/etc.> and..." is no longer a fresh or interesting subject for an essay. At this point it's just self-important hipster omphaloskepsis.
(It doesn't help that almost 100% of these essays are from well-to-do white folks who have never known hardship and who think being cut off from Facebook is like living in poverty.)
These days, when I see an "I stopped using..." article, I assume it's written by this guy:

kin discourse
I'm seeing a bunch of that "kin is trans appropriation" argument around and it kinda bothers me.
For starters, that's kind of the same argument straight people made about gay people "ruining marriage."
Same argument cis gays make against trans inclusion in LGBT spaces.
Also for all the cyberpunk wanting robot bodies and body mods, it'd really feel like the LGBT community would be more understanding of a person wanting to have a different body. Not to say all kin want a different body but that's though.
All said though, we're not asking for rights here, we're not asking for official recognition, literally all we're asking for is to not be bullied about it.
Respect our identities, that is all we want. For most of us that barely even means going out of your way like you'd treat any other person.
Anyway, I'm dragonkin, and that hasn't been a problem for most of you till now but if it is, that's cool, you gotta do you and I gotta do me. Hope your life is good. 💕
Ok, today's #dailysqueak is this badge of Simon in a toony style done by Marymouse (https://twitter.com/lilgreymouse). Wanted something other than the usual waist-up smiling or smirking face. n.n
How does Simon get around? Through a series of tubes, of course.

How people come up with “random” numbers:
A: “Pick a random number from 1-10”
B: °(1 and 10 are too obvious. 5 stands out in the middle. Half way between 5 and 10 is hidden in the mix. It won’t be the same number other picked .)
“Seven”

So apparently my dreaming leaked through to the real world by me moving a lot and seeming like I had a nightmare.
Loa checked in on me, and I sheepishly said while half asleep "it's just Pokémon on a submarine"
capitalism is super efficient because it means we hire 300 bullshit contractors to write the same critical infrastructure 6000 different ways in fucking garbage ass php or whatever instead of establishing an agency to write open source programs that local governments can share
fishing in #ffxiv is in fact zen as hell. you definitely have to be in the mood for it, but if you are, it's amazing.
seriously. put on a podcast, kick your feet up, and just go fishin'.
is it high octane action? nope. but it's peaceful. you get to enjoy the lovely views. you get to relax. it's a great time.
(top hint: in sound settings, turn the music down low so it doesn't drive you mad, but leave sound effects up so you can hear the sploosh of a fish on the line along with your podcast.)
also FYI if you're an instance admin and you think this is a super cool idea, lemme know and I'll toss you the code for it instead of making you dig up the branch in my github repo
