I intended to also make the point that art is subjective as all hell so what one person connects with on a deep personal level, that they can't help but love and want to show to everyone might be just that crappy "2deep4u" pretentious indie trashpile in the corner that they saw a couple times and didn't think much of.

...basically the question is pointless and flawed.
Videogames are art in the same way a bucket of paint and some brushes are. As in, they're not. they're a MEDIUM for art. Art can be created with that medium, or someone could just smash it onto a canvas and fling it out the door in the hopes someone is gullible enough to pay top dollar for it.
I mean I could be super wrong and barking up the wrong tree tho.
