@Felthry there's this romhack of smb1 on the nes that's designed to give you infinite lives, but also be one of those "kaizo" games? Where there are hidden blocks and stuff to stop you progressing.
Someone did a video on it and because of the lives counter buffer overflowing in order to give infinite lives, it eventually starts using tile data, which the player comments on
