so i have a couple options here.
A) the bluetooth part of the built in wireless module in this tv is fragged.
B) LG are lying and it doesn't actually support bluetooth standards, it's got its own proprietary version that only supports other LG audio peripherals (which judging by reviews are all absolute crap of the highest order and are vastly overpriced)
C) Bluetooth is a lie and the world is not real and we are all brains in vats
D) horp blorp splurp gremlins.

hhhh okay so this lg tv is supposed to have bluetooth. lg's own technical specs say it has bluetooth 4.0. I have double, triple, quadrupled (and single) checked the model numbers against the technical specs to be sure and yes absolutely it has bluetooth 4.0.

as far as the TV is concerned?

it does not. it has "LG sound sync".

which from what I've been able to tell refuses to connect to ANYTHING that's bluetooth at all.
