I think for new years I'm gonna give up pooptooting. No more pooptoots from me. I'd best get started on this now to prep for it instead of just halfarsing it on jan 1st and inevitably failing so here goes, no more pooptoots from now on.

Charlie Hebdo shooting, horrors of war

At the Newseum, and I just saw Tignous' name on the wall of journalists killed in action. His real name was Bernard Verlhac, and he was killed in the Charlie Hebdo shooting.
He was a parody artist who contributed to many charitable causes, including Clowns Without Borders and Cartoonists for Peace.
I only know all this because he featured in a life-changing peace of art for me - a tabletop experience known as The Grizzled. It allowed players to step into the shoes of soldiers in World War I, but contained no combat mechanics, and no fighting - there was nothing you could do to "contribute to the war". It was simply about staying alive until the end of the war and helping your friends from giving into despair. Players acquired traumas that could make them an actual danger to the rest of the group, but you cannot and would not leave them behind. The only way to win was to save everyone, and get home. Not in one piece - even victory was tragic - but home nonetheless. Fuck the war, just get them home.
I just hope for more people to remember him, and I recommend trying The Grizzled. It's something special.

@vyr "gonna pop this program in the litter tray in case it poops itself"

@batterpunts actually i dunno if that would cause electric current i dunno i'm bad at science lol

LB: ... am.. am i ... i'm not the only one who ... who wants to lick both of those colours, right? they... they look delicious

@Ivafakename you fucking deleted the pinned post holy fuck ahahaha YOU ACNNOT DELETE YOUR SINS

@Ivafakename as a matter of fact yes I would mi-HEY GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME YO-[REDACTED]

@batterpunts if i recall rightly from uh... many years ago of science classes, the wavelength of the microwaves is enough to cause any water molecules to vibrate and thus become energised which causes it to emit radiation in the form of heat which heats things up and since p. much all food has water in it in some form or another this makes heating food pretty simple, yes, but as for why said microwaves hitting metal causes sparks uh...

... radiation disco rave party?? idk

@batterpunts brb supercharging and using a contactless card system to cook omelettes in stores

@batterpunts oh yeah good point yes. that is how it works, sorry XD but yeah microwave vs induction hob is like

induction hob: just gonna heat up the metal to heat the food real fast nice and precise like
microwave: FUCKIN NUKE EVERYTHING YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

@Ivafakename i couldn't NOT read it! it was... there! It just.. .INSERTED itself into my bbrain

@Ivafakename I JUST SAW THE PINNED POST AND FUCK, IF YOU'RE GONNA PUT A STRAIGHT UP SCP LEVEL COGNITO HAZARD IN YOUR PINNED TOOTS FRIGGIN REDACT THAT SHIT OH MY GOD

@batterpunts to be fair the induction hobs are using magnetic induction to excite the molecules in the food in the pans, which the nheats the pan as well as a consequence, as opposed to other hobs which heat the pan, which THEN heats the food.

whereas a microwave oven blasts EVERYTHING inside with radiation constantly and doesn't care how hot or not it is it just cares about the timer running out or not XD

@Ivafakename you pinned that toot didn't you i read the pinned toot oh my god
