okay actually another point for Operation Anchorage in FO3, you got some fuckin' sweet loot out of it. that gauss rifle oh my god I loved that weapon. Also kinda liked that because it was a simulation written by some rabid, racist knobjockey it was a full on pre-war propaganda piece, so full of horrid stereotypes and "FUCK YEAH AMERICA" bullshit, lol and it was internally consistant with Fallout's crapsack world.
I got Fallout 3 for free due to winning some vouchers at work. I pirated all the DLC.
I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it because YOWCH.
Fonv tho? I bought the ultimate edition and do not regret it.
Okay I'm going to walk that back only slightly. The one DLC in Fallout 3 that I actually enjoyed was Operation Anchorage but that was only because it changed Fallout 3 into a straight up FPS game. Point Lookout could have been interesting but it was short, tiny, uninteresting and full of godawful fetch quests.
Mothership Zeta? Oof. just... fuck. badly balanced dlc, awful level layouts. No interesting lore. And the alien weapons look like ass.
Don't EVEN get me started on Broken Steel holy fuck.
technical question, advertising
@lizardsquid if it's the latter, then the easy explaination is that the player/app literally pauses the podcast to deliver an ad at specific "ad break" markers, plays the ad, then resumes the podcast much like a youtube ad does or whatever.
Disclaimer, I am in no way technical or knowledgeable about such topics I'm just... guessing here ^^;
technical question, advertising
@lizardsquid Is the podcast played via a downloaded mp3 file or through a particular bit of software like an app or something for the bbc? If it's the former, I suppose it's possible that there could be set "ad break" sections in the mp3, and the page uses advertising algorithms to select specific pre-created ads for the downloader's country/"interests" etc, then inserts the relevant audio into those breaks.
@outie teeth. teeth. teeth. teeth
@jk clearly Techbology is the correct spelling
If you live in the Michigan area and are interested in and capable of taking in two older dogs, please let me know. My Artie (a German Shepherd mix) and Rosie (a terrier), both 11 years old, deserve better than I can give them right now. They have both been house-trained but have been outdoor for the last year so may need slight retraining. They are friendly and were always good with my son.
i posted something very similar just a few minutes ago but the situation has changed a little bit so i might as well make a new thread
