@zatnosk @outie *dramatically takes glasses off, which reveals another pair of glasses. Dramatically takes those glasses off, which likewise concealed another pair of glasses. This goes on for a while, each dramatic swipe of the glassess off their face revealing a different pairand style of glasses, which could not possibly have been hidden behind the previous pair, until finally the final pair comes off* EUREKA! SCIENCE!!
@outie *studies the comic studiously, makes notes on a clipboard, nods after several moments* Mmh yes, well within tolerances. Excellent work. Continue to the next phase.

re: absolutely fuckin cursed thought but I have to share it because god it's making me giggle.
THE CROCS KNIGHT COMETH
absolutely fuckin cursed thought but I have to share it because god it's making me giggle.
so, crocs
but thigh high crocs, right? Everyone's seen that monstrosity, everyone's aware of it, that's not new. But I got to thinking. Crocs are like... stiff plastic/rubber, right?
...so if thjey were REALLY thigh length boots designed like crocs, you'd have to like... design them like plate armour.
and THERE IT IS
FULL PLATE ARMOUR, BUT CROCS.
Some doodles I drew while practicing drawing cows since I've never drew any @BatElite sorry if it doesnt look completely your oc, I've done it off of memory 😅
@shadow8t4@masto.werefox.dev @jk yes. the only way to access teh settings of the server, is through a Java based frontend, running on a windows ME machine. remotely.
@shadow8t4@masto.werefox.dev @jk you don't realise the true horror of this.
We'll be uploaded to a database that despite all appearances actually runs on an ancient FORTRAN/COBOL based system with hacked in support for some shonky MySQL derivative with a purely Java based frontend with no command console access except through telnet, that only one person knows how to maintain, running on the one remaining Windows ME machine in existence.
Hexen on the other hand? NOW I get why it was so well received. It's a totally different beast to Doom. It's not "Doom but fantasy", it's its own thing, just happening to use a very modified Doom engine. There's far more of a focus on traps and puzzles, there's some absolutely wild detail gone into the levels and atmospherics, an inventory system of sorts, aand using items becomes rather important too for bolstering your attacks.
It's really good stuff, I'm impressed.
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
