Checkpoint Aaaahhh Gaaryyyy. (FONV Mod Reviews)
There is apparently Cazadores in it though. a wave of them.
SomeGuy2k apologises for them. repeatedly.
Checkpoint Gary! (FONV Mod Reviews)
Checkpoint Gary is just like, a sort of "Endless combat waves" mod that has no story it seems, but is a fun little diversion, but like all of his mods, is kinda brutally hard, like, somewhat unforgivingly hard at points. like, hope you brought a lotta fuckin' ammo and companions and aren't playing in Hardcore mode hard.
Surprisingly it's even got a couple little actual quests apparently, not just defensive wave rounds. Neat!
Checkpoint Gaaaaryyyyy?? (FONV Mod Reviews)
I haven't yet found a SomeGuy2000 mod I DIDN'T like, honestly. I mean granted I haven't played New Vegas Killer because haha fuck that noise I ain' working for the Judge.
Checkpoint Gary is one he made while waiting for FO4 (ooof), a game he has still not made any mods for yet, and yet he's planning another FONV mod apparently, lol. Guess that means FONV is superior :D \o/
plus you get a bunch of cool new decorative items out of it that look great in any player home (I use the one from Afterschool Special which transforms the Goodsprings School into a really nice player home after a series of surprisingly fun little fetch quests, with a cool little inventory organisation feature that you can use to automatically dump things into (more or less) relevant places via a terminal in the place. real neat. ^^
Managed to (sort of)fix the PN+WMX problem I was having with FONV as well btw.
By uninstalling everything to do with MMUE and installing YUP instead. As a result, I have all the GRA weapons back, which means I can ACTUALLY MODIFY the AM Rifle finally! Yaaay!
It's sitll not 100% but it's p. close.
Oh also Boom to the Moon is complete now and it's a wonderful set of quests, lovely, silly, fun, charming, and Anaximander is a sweetie.
FONV: GOING TO SPACE EDITION (FONV Quest Mod Reviews 3)
Oh dang why didn't i enable dev commentary on this mod sooner? Jokerine has really clearly put a LOT of love and work into this mod, it's absolutely stellar....
...okay that pun was entirely unintentional but I'm leaving it in there lol.
Sure, it's buggy as fuck, but, c'mon, it's the Gamebryo engine that's just the default, really, and the fact that this mod does SO MUCH unique stuff, it's a wonder it doesn't regularly CTD.
hmmm... there is one thing I miss from Fallout 3
The number stations that are dotted around were pretty friggin cool. Like, I wish FONV had that. More importantly there was this Creepypasta about GNR where it would turn into a weird creepy clairvoyant numbers station if ThreeDog was killed or something, and I knew it was a fake story but I liked it nonetheless.
just... needs to be more numbers station stuff, that stuff's fun.
Digital Foundry reviews the PS Digital which adds a fully digital HDMI output to the PSX. I'm so happy about how much love the PSX is getting lately

FONV: GOING TO SPACE EDITION (FONV Quest Mod Reviews 3)
Basically when you get back from the moon (yep you go to the moon!) the "ending" you get for the FIRST quest is dependent upon your dialogue choices, but for some reason you don't get the choice for the good ending even if you do everything right. Luckily there's a failsafe to work around the bug, AND a hard save immediately after you return to earth so you can do it. Very well put together mod!
FONV: GOING TO SPACE EDITION (FONV Quest Mod Reviews 3)
(that's not a glitch, there's literally a 10% chance of it just exploding and killing you rofl, it's pretty funny actually)
Either way, the key NPC in this mod, Anaximander, is an absolute sweetie and I just want to hug him lots. Plus he has some cool looking tattoos.
The voice acting so far is really stellar, and... god it's really well written.
The author put in a bunch of failsafes if things go wonky, (read the mod desc) super nice.
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
