Oh apparently Kappabashi-dori is the kitchenware district of Tokyo! Like they sell everything from knives, to trays, to earthenware, to aprons, to actual cooking machinery and such, to things like wax food replicas for display in eatery windows (seriously those things are amazingly well made and an artform unto themselves I swear), everything a restaurateur would need... is that the right word? Restauranteur??

Apparently back in May Patriot Prayer leader Joey Gibson showed up in Albany. It was a nothing burger of an event.

They held it on Saturday by the Capital which got no traffic because it's dead there on the weekends.

Then they went to the Planned Parenthood which is miles away and was closed.

I don't know how to feel about the lack of counter protesters. The event happened unnoticed and the lack of counterprotests probably helped.

there was also a halloween event quest set in the Court of the Spider Queen and you get to meet her courtiers, including the Keeper of the Royal Eggs

"eggs" in German - "Eier" - is also a colloquial term for testicles

we eventually settled on translating that NPC as "Königlicher Eierwärmer".

Oh. The lifesize RX-0 Unicorn Gundam is amazing btw. We kept missing its transformation sequences but oh my god it looks sick as fuck. It's awesome. Tbqh the artificial Island the Gundam base and the statue is on its a very Gundam looking area in general really

Kami is home as well now. She got super yelly when she found out me and Miq were back, and came charging up to me all fluffed up and purring and drooling with happiness and now she's purring next to my head and I wish I could tell her how much I have missed her too

And my arse is sore from that last flight and that taxi ride home. Mostly the last plane. Very uncomfortable seats. Glad it was only a two and a half hour flight that second one.
