However, you often miss information imparted to you via language because you're nodding your head, tapping your feet to its music, ignoring entirely its intent.

Today I learned that last week, breaking with a 29-year-old tradition that dates back to the first President Bush, Trump refused to declare this November to be National Native American History Month.

Instead, he declared it National American History and Founders Month, *explicitly* focusing on historical white men.
