I suppose it can't hurt to ask if anyone knows of any casual, clean furry #roleplay places where you can just play out a character of any setting and practice?
@maxinered @ulvra I did a low-color pixel-art version of my own avatar for use on the NESDev and NintendoAge forums, to be more in-theme.
Wheaton incident and Mastodon tools (~)
@ulvra @maxinered I looked into it out of curiosity and from what I can tell the maintainer of that blocklist is dishonest about what it actually contains (advertised as "99.9% abusive MRAs and Gators") and that seems to be the real problem here, not any bad intent on Wheaton's part.
@typhlosion When you get around to it, I found the Let's Encrypt Certbot program will offer to change your nginx config for you. The only thing I had to do outside of the wizard was add a cron job to renew the certificate.
https://wiki.nesdev.com/w/index.php/User:Lidnariq/Unofficial_opcode_matrix this layout does a really good job at helping to explain what processes are actually going on when the 6502 decodes instructions. All the patterns are made really clear.
The real downside to 8x16 sprites is that for things that are 8 pixels tall you end up wasting tiles for the required blank space above/below them, but almost everything in this game is 16x16 so it's acceptable.
@maple both are accurate
I suppose since I've introduced myself, I should introduce my #fursona too. Her name is Nova Storm, and the core of her design is that she's supposed to be a 90s animal mascot platformer character. Like a cartoon character does with cartoon logic, she carries video game logic and abilities wherever she goes, able to jump very high, land from any height safely, have an inventory and so on.

@RobinHase yeah I'm excited to wear it to meets and such and have everyone instantly know I'm a cute squirrel princess.
I'm a pretty squirrel princess who dabbles in roleplay, game development, retro game consoles, pixel art, and a variety of computery things.
