@NinTheFolf I'm really looking forward to it. I'm gonna pick it up the next time I go to the store for sure!
@rainwarrior I'm unfamiliar with finite differences, but I feel like even just building the table in RAM would have massive space savings, since M7A=M7D, and M7B=-M7C. So that's 10 bytes/scanline/angle down to 4.
It's mostly trig function(angle)*scale*(1/y), and if I could multiply quickly that could be reduced to just one multiplication per scanline and two tables. I might try symmetry.
Oh hey, rotation! I'm using 32 angles right now and so I have two entire banks dedicated to HDMA tables because currently each angle is a whole 1772 bytes. Worth it for good-looking turning though!
@XerTheSquirrel It would be really amazing if you can. I want to make sure there's a plan B though, like when I planned to hang out with a specific friend at IndyFurCon last year who couldn't make it, and it wasn't very good.
mario maker
@behold3r I ended up naming myself "Maffi" after my own mouse character since she seemed like the sort of creative person who'd be making levels.
Lost friend (-)
mousebyte broke contact again, except this time by blocking me and deleting our message history rather than deleting her account. I'm worried about her and I hope she's okay. I know she's scared of friendships and getting too close to people, or something, and I hope I left a good impact on her in the months I knew her.
It's really messing me up though because she was a very important friend for me and I'm really sad she's gone. I don't know anyone quite like her.
Due to my platforming prowess, I kicked so much butt at Ultimate Chicken Horse that I was told to set a handicap.
That got me thinking, would a video game character naturally be good at playing video games in the same genre they're from?
There's probably a pretty good correlation for the specific case where you make a character to represent yourself and then you put them in games that use the genre you love, at least.
@TastyTrissie Yeah when I saw that in the update notes I was like, no, I do not trust furries with this feature.
I've seen enough animated FurAffinity avatars to know where this is going.
CW: spinning
I tucked in her head and it looks way better now! And she fits in a smaller space so I can do a lot with this gameplay-wise.
kink mention?
As an ace person, it actually kind of bothers me when I see people joke about completely clean stuff like holding hands as being a very taboo kink, because for me those sorts of things are the tools I've got left for expressing affection, so they're very important to me and I don't appreciate them being a punchline.
But that could also just be me needing to loosen up.
@dragon At least in my monogamous relationships, flirting and affection were all over the place anyway :p
@Nine there are rumors going around my dad's house that I like squirrel girls, and I don't care at all haha
I'm a pretty squirrel princess who dabbles in roleplay, game development, retro game consoles, pixel art, and a variety of computery things.
