@woob darn adventurers keep entering our houses and breaking them, so no more pots
https://curiouscat.me/NovaSquirrel maybe ask Nova and/or Maffi stuff? I wanna try and develop them out more and I just want to explore how they respond to things in general. :p
One of the big factors here is I have a programming job so I feel absolutely no obligation to care about how career-relevant what I do in my free time is, and I really should try to just spend my free time on what will make me happiest.
I'm gonna have to learn to animate! Or at least do animations that aren't 2 frames long. Doesn't have to be elaborate... but something exaggeratedly cartoony and expressive sounds great! Hamtaro: Ham Hams Unite! is very inspirational in this regard.
I've been having a hard time figuring out what I want to do with the "Nova" series after the first game, including what platform a sequel should go on, and now SNES feels like the obvious choice. I can reuse most of my code and I'm very passionate about the console.
I guess another big thing is I'll be a truer 90s animal mascot platformer character. While they definitely did have 8-bit games I don't think they were ever the focus. :p
It's gonna take a lot of improvement in my pixel art skills.
https://soundcloud.com/user-226630205/adlib-tracker-ii-nova-the-squirrel-world-1b someone did an Adlib Tracker II version of a Nova the Squirrel song
@maple if you do that I might have to use it. I used hot dog stand as my theme on e621 for a long time because it amused me so much.
@maple I'd definitely agree I'm addicted to my friends; addicted to my devices, not so much, and if they were local I would be spending my time very differently
@yaodema There used to be some childish inter-channel conflicts on AnthroChat that, among other things, involved people placing channel bans so you can't join if you're already in a channel they happened to dislike and trying to force people to choose.
I feel like it was a mistake for IRC (or at least UnrealIRCd) to natively be able to automatically ban someone from a channel if they're in another specific channel, so I'm making sure the tools I provide can't do that sort of thing. You have to think about the social consequences of your design.
Next in Tilemap Town I'm probably going to add in the ability to create user groups that you can then invite people to join, and it'd function like Second Life's groups where you could add (but not remove) permissions based on group membership.
Good for either actually having an organization with shared privileges that's included in a whitelist across several maps, or just giving yourself permissions across all your alts.
I'm a pretty squirrel princess who dabbles in roleplay, game development, retro game consoles, pixel art, and a variety of computery things.
