I am seeing a whole lot of people changing instances today. What's going on folks? #JustCurious
@Alice
We have a type of flower out here called clematis. One day I flubbed the word and called it chlamydia. The friends I was with made jokes about it for an hour, and ever since then, in my head, it's chlamydia.
This will probably get me a charge of treason, but IMO Bacharach and David were better than Lennon and McCartney!

This adorable little bean appeared at the Texas Observer office today, rescued by Staff Reporter Michelle Pitcher. We are calling them Mister Stinky (until we can get them checked for a chip anyways).

You can't negotiate with terrorists, and Russia is a terrorist state.

@ScottSoCal 100% hit it with an immersion blender to make it creamy and poof awesomeness.
If no immersion blender, you can add the instant potato flakes as a thickener if you want a slacker cooking hack π
@voron Kaiju Preservation Society, or something like that. I *loved* that book!
It's in my kindle, I may need to read it again. Right now I'm reading Suzie Spitfire Kills Everyone.
@ScottSoCal Scalziβs book about the alternate dimensions & kaiju is awesome π
@voron
The same potatoes, onions, and bacon ends & pieces would also make a great potato soup. But add a can of evaporated milk.
Breakfast potatoes & onions
Potatoes & onions are cheap in #Wisconsin Kwik trip has them as a loss leader usually for around 39 or 49 cents a lbs. bacon can be expensive but ends & pieces are cheaper & great for recipes like this.
1. dice some bacon ends & pieces set to simmer
2. Cube some potatoes then microwave for 3 minutes to soften
3. Dice onion
4. Add onion & potato to skillet increase heat stir to avoid sticking
5. Add garlic power pepper salt
- Easy cheap quick #recipe

I don't know what we'd do about it in CA, but I don't think Newsom or the AG would just roll over and accept it.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing.
