Yes, that's pretty much how it is.
Imagine being a priest or a nun, and devoting your whole life to something that doesnβt exist - wasting the only life youβre going to get, in the mistaken belief youβll get a βbetter βone when you die.
This explains why the priests and nuns in my school growing up were such evil, sadistic excuses for humans - they knew the mistake they had made, but couldnβt get out of the cult., and it slowly poisoned them.
In that, I take some form of comfort knowing that they hated their lives, like all the kids hated themπ
Hard work.
I spent my day working outside in the yard laying SOD. I ordered a way too expensive pallet of SOD that was supposed to arrive tomorrow, but it came this morning.
While I was taking a break in my backyard, I noticed this Red Spotted Purple Butterfly and started chasing it around. I guess you could say that I get distracted easily. I'm outside working and ... "look butterfly"π. Anyway, I wanted to catch it in the air, and I actually got a pretty good shot except one wing was out of the frame. But this photo of it on the lawn isn't too bad, and the bottom side of the wings is more colorful than the top.

I was just out running an errand and drove by a pileated woodpecker on a telephone pole. I didnβt have my camera but stopped and snapped a pic through my windshield. Just as I was ready the woodpecker moved. Itβs not a good pic β¦ Cβest la vie. π

Definitely, but it's not always up to me. She mimics the phone ringing, microwave, etc, because she hears it. And when she first got here, what she repeated to herself was "Scooter! No! Ow! You little asshole!" I noticed she was fascinated by whispering, so that's what I did, and I almost never hear that original phrase anymore, but she whispers to herself a lot.

My parrot, Scooter The Gray, loves crows. When I take her outside she watches for them, calls to them, and nothing thrills her more than having one call back.
I think birds are fascinating, and I love watching them, even when they're loud (like Scooter)
