So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

This is the disgusting plate of food served for dinner here in the long term care/rehab facility where I'm currently living. And this is one of the "better" places, supposedly. How is one supposed to get better eating this crap?
I saw a couple weaving through a park.
I said โHonestly! Get a loom!โ

Fortunately, we don't govern according to the bible.
Well, those of us who aren't in red states don't, anyway.
@ScottSoCal well, TCP does require your acknowledgement, so I would think UDP would be more introvert friendly?
Close - Brady Bunch opening theme song.
Easy access to killing machines is the one area this in which the U.S. doesn't discriminate.

If Anson Mount gets an Emmy, they'll need to give one to his pompadour, too.
Exciting news for #StarTrek fans with official renewal and premiere date announcements for Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, and Prodigy. Is a #StarTrekPicard spin-off in the works too?

The cashier said โStrip down, facing me.โ
By the time I realised she meant the debit card, it was too late.
Iโm happy to say that @TexasObserver reached $200,000 on their GoFundMe!
Journalists around the world, are you seeing this?
Biden said: Under my economic plan, no one making less than $400,000 will pay more in taxes.
But you know who will?
Billionaires, multi-millionaires, multinational corporations, and businesses with massive stock buybacks who have gotten away with low-to-no taxes for too long.
Reality lapped satire several years ago. Poe's Law has never been more real.

I added the dates the US assault weapon ban was passed and expired. See any differences?
No, one of them definitely wasn't, one probably wasn't, the other two I'm not sure, but I don't see how it could possibly offset all the others.
@ScottSoCal (Also I don't think all four were really trans anyway)
@ScottSoCal I want to teach everyone some basic statistics so badly! ๐
The wackjobs are going on and on about 4 (1 of them imaginary) mass shootings in the last 2 decades committed by someone who might have been Trans, while they ignore the hundreds committed by not-Trans people.
Hey, you get a big enough sample population, you're gonna get a little bit of everything.
Not gonna lie, the newest step in the ongoing demonisation and scapegoating of trans people -- the reaction to this mass shooting in Nashville -- is deeply, deeply frightening. I'm so glad I don't live in the US but many innocent people do, and they are going to bear the brunt of this witch-hunt. I do not like where this goes.
