So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

Also, are we settled on "toots"? Is that a done deal?
Just for alliteration's sake, if Twitter has tweets, should Mastadon have moots?
I can't help but notice I would be able to get everything done easier if the world wasn't crumbling around me.
Because the Republican way is to find the least qualified candidate, who will create the most chaos and havoc, and put them in charge.
Marjorie Taylor Greene is an apologist for insurrectionists and traitors.
Why on earth is she serving on the Homeland Security Committee?
Also, protests won't matter because Republicans have made it legal to murder protestors.
Liz Cheney says Greene should lose security clearance for defending suspect in Pentagon docs leak (Rose Horowitch/NBC News)

How am I? I'm optimal. All functions are operating within normal parameters.
And protests won't matter because, as a Republican, Abbot has no shame and no decency.
As Texas Gov Abbot prepares to pardon a white man & convicted murderer for killing a peaceful BLM protestorβTexas sentences a Black man to 70 years in prison for βspitting at policeβ to βmake an example out of him.βπ³
Systemic white supremacy is thriving in the GOP. Horrific.
The word βsynesthesiaβ tastes like a purple triangle.

I've realized the reason I didn't like DS9 as much as TNG or Voyager was because of the "gritty reality" they tried to put into it. Principles are more guidelines, and they can be ignored when they're not convenient. Starfleet has a slimy basement called Section 31. Humans haven't really grown, they've just taken their shitshow on a galactic tour.
Where's the hope?
Empty G has already sided with the traitor.
I'm shocked. Just shocked.

Waiting for an answer, Mr. Speaker.

I ran into my old statistics professor the other day. I mean, what are the odds?

My name is Karen, which used to be a perfectly good name, but you know what happened to it. It kills me. Anyway, I live in Colorado with my husband and our kids live nearby. I am retired from teaching ESL to every age from kinder to adults. I loved my career.
I try to be a positive and encouraging person, but that does not mean I am okay with much of what is going on. If you vote Republican please donβt follow me, we are not morally compatible.

In 2020, I had a trip planned to Munich, for hubs and I to visit the Christmas Markets. COVID ruined it. This morning I decided we're doing it this year. The whole city goes nuts for Christmas.
