My antifascist trilogy is the three *A Song Called Youth* novels (usually referred to as a cyberpunk trilogy), has never quite gone out of print and its latest edition of the three novels is from Dover Books. A Song Called Youth: Eclipse, Eclipse Penumbra, and Eclipse Corona. ..."A complex, bizarre, and unique vision of the near future, with a kaleidoscopic mix of politics, pop, and paranoia."--Bruce Sterling ...He forgot to mention action.

This "He Gets Us" billionaire christofascist funded ad propaganda is pathetic.

If he existed, it was before the printing press.

Mythologizing and projecting onto a blank slate is exactly what makes these Nazi fascists so dangerous. Fuck this ad spam.

Hobby Lobby shitstain, we see you.

@1finekitty @Frankc1450 It seems crazy given how huge the place is, but Disney could and SHOULD dismantle Walt Disney World and move the entire thing north to a less fascist state β€” particularly given the absolute disasters climate change will increasingly wreak on Florida over the coming decades. And if Disney left, others would quickly follow suit.

It would be delightful to watch DeSantis explain to Floridians how he single-handedly destroyed Florida’s tourist industry.

I'd never heard of it, either, but apparently there are two a*****e families that own most of the lake bottom, and they've turned it into orchards. They're getting ready to sue to get their land back.
I say eminent domain the whole thing, and restore the lake as a water reserve.

I’ve read a lot about the re-emergence of Tulare Lake in Southern #California due to our incredible rains.

But this was new to me: β€œThis vast aquatic ecosystem was paradise to the people who lived there for thousands of years, but it disappeared in a geologic blink of an eye following the arrival of Euro-Americans into California.”

The lake has re-emerged a number of times, β€œfollowing the motto that β€˜You Can’t Keep a Good Lake Down.’”

@rebeccabguinn @ScottSoCal @TonyStark @Heimdall @curiouscatastrophe this fight reminds me of the fight for gay rights. As I remember there was a concerted effort to portray gays as child molesters before 2006. The online left were able to reference a lot of data showing most pedo’s were hetero and then Mark Foley, several other sex scandals, all built up and voilΓ , Speaker Pelosi. 2008 Dems were still wishy washy.

@rebeccabguinn @ScottSoCal @TonyStark @Heimdall @curiouscatastrophe by 2012 all mainstream democrats were for marriage equality and by 2015 Obergefell. But it took normalizing being out, and seeing gay relationships in mass media, overcoming AIDS stigma and all the way back to stonewall.
I want the party of the disenfranchised to fight for the most marginalized. Stand up for the truth that we’re all equal.

@ScottSoCal @rebeccabguinn @TonyStark @Heimdall @curiouscatastrophe
The GOP has to have an "other group" to demonize so they can divide us and continue to install an autocracy. We see this with the attacks on immigrants. On women's rights to choose. Then the whole CRT scam as an excuse to eliminate black history from being taught in schools. Now transgender people are under siege.

If we don't stand together, Rebecca, we all lose. That's the point.

Scientific American talks about #StochasticTerrorism which I believe is the tool being used by the right to generate a plausibly deniable #AntiTrans #Genocide

How Stochastic Terrorism Uses Disgust to Incite Violence

Pundits are weaponizing disgust to fuel violence, and it’s affecting our humanity

@rebeccabguinn @TonyStark @Heimdall @curiouscatastrophe

Rebecca; What I'm interpreting your posts to mean is that we (the left) should not worry about rights for Trans people, because it's a difficult topic. We should stick to more mainstream issues. I think that's why you're getting the pushback you are. I'm not abandoning people. I'm not going to leave them to fight for the basic right to exist. I can't be that person. I won't be.

Actually, a wolf in sheep’s clothing would be pretty cute.

And when they talk about you they'd marvel at how clean and articulate you are.
Two words that I have *never* heard used in combination to describe a white person.

Today is #YomHaShoah, #HolocaustRemembranceDay. We mourn our families and others who didn’t survive the genocide. 6 million Jews. My grandfather’s 4 sisters (Chana, Devorah, Ethel, Malka), and his parents were all murdered. Photo is one of his murdered sisters. He came to Canada to escape #antisemitism. #NeverAgain
