People use the word "exponentially" ever more often, in my experience. Very often they just mean "a large number", which has little to do with exponential _growth_. Let's use exponentially for things that behave exponentially. Only.
The Middle Bay Lighthouse in #MobileAlabama more or less as it originally looked when built in 1885. It's still standing but the lantern was removed decades ago.

I've seen exactly 1 news report where the reporter traced back the data (and the migrants) to find that they were moving north to escape a drought in South America that had devastated their food sources and created violence in their region. They came because they didn't want their children to die.
Media literacy tip:
The surge of climate-change conflicts will be presented to us as "ethnic tensions lead to violence" in the newspapers.
The rise in climate refugees will be presented to us as "migrants seeking work."
When you try to read a new situation using the language of the old broken economic system it's hard to see what's happening.

I've never been more satisfied with my introverted, hermit life.
The most exhilarating part about skinny dipping is when all of the water park attendants start chasing after you.

For me, it's snark, and sarcasm, and a deep-seated need to mock the tropes I was raised to believe by taking them to ridiculous extremes.
There's really only one test to being my friend, and that is, when I say whatever's on my mind, especially when it's completely random, nonsensical and bordering tactless (but not offensive), that you don't react like something's gone wrong. My need to be randomly absolutely stupid is not negotiable.
No better way of enduring existence yet.

May native wildflowers in our garden. This after a neighbor cut down massive privets on the property line, flooding the yard with sunlight. Seeded the area with wildflowers and nature did the awesome rest.
