I don't think that (feeling like/being told you don't belong) is uncommon for autistic people. Someone posted a study in here that indicated allistic people have an automatic negative reaction to our affect and presentation.
I spent 60 years thinking there was something broken about me. Turns out it's not broken, just different.

I had the same questions, but I just came in here and asked if they minded me being here. It was very welcoming. I went from "possibly" to "maybe" to "probably" to "OK, yes" talking to the people here, and reading them talk to each other.

Conducted an experiment today, in asking for accommodation.
Hubs does his laundry Saturday, and I do mine on Sunday, but that means I'm cooking my lunches and doing laundry on Sunday - stressing me out. He's off on Friday, so I said dealing with both laundry and cooking each Sunday is stressful, and I'd like him to do his laundry on Friday. I'll do mine on Saturday.
He agreed. No argument, no hassle, he just agreed. Experiment successful.

Years ago my doctor recommended a sleep routine. Which, you know, really fits well with my general affinity for routines. π
Bedtime is the same time every night, I watch one episode of a TV show while laying in bed (nothing too exciting or thought provoking) and then the lights are out. The blackout drapes and blinds keep the room nice and dark.
It helps, quite a bit.

I have tinnitus always, and sometimes go deaf in one ear or the other, for no apparent reason. It only lasts a few seconds, then the tinnitus is back.

That's OK, I don't do hashtags that often.
Yes. I saw posts in late 2016 that celebrated The Revolution that was sure to come, because things would be intolerable, and it was inevitable.
They were sort of right. There was an uprising. Just not the one they expected.
If you're just a part of a problem, you clearly aren't trying hard enough.
I avoid that by using one of these. This morning my shower was 95F, start to finish. Same as yesterday, and same as tomorrow's will be.
