Worf was on the side of the group trying to destroy Risa.
The total price tag of the measures is about $95.3 billion. About $50 billion of it will be used here in the U.S. to replenish the supplies that will go abroad.
Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) says the Senate will take up the measure on Tuesday. Senators had gone home for recess but will come back to vote. The Department of Defense says it is ready to rush crucial supplies as soon as it gets the go-ahead. - Heather Cox Richardson
I think it's funny that David Frum, of all people, is saying this. He helped create the Trump avalanche, with Bush the Lesser's lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction, and the atrocities and torture authorized by the administration he supported and worked for.
We get something like a desert wind here in SoCal, when the Santa Ana winds kick up. It's close enough to make me miss the desert wind.
Desert wind is very dry, a lot of static electricity, the smell of sagebrush and mesquite and ozone, and it's steady.
Coastal wind is moist, and heavy, and it's more wild and random.
I've always loved the desert wind. I grew up in the desert and my parents' house bordered on hundreds of thousands of acres of BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. At night when the wind blew I'd walk up into the hills, feel the wind and look at the stars.
Coastal wind is different, and I'm not a fan.
I'm the same way, I usually don't even like the stereo on in the car, anymore.
Which is odd, because a major point in every car I've had for decades is the premium audio. When I do want sound, it has to be good sound. But mostly I enjoy the quiet. Buying an EV was a revelation - not even engine noise.
Aw, come on, who doesn't like a good explosion?
If only the good die young, Trump will be immortal.
But I'm hoping for a persistent vegetative state.
I've been not getting enough sleep for a week, but I chalk it up to not exercising the way I used to. Today I'm going for at least a 5 mile walk, and if I can keep that up I know I'll be able to get back to sleeping properly.
Years ago Meta modified its TOS such that everything you upload or post becomes their property. My brief flirtation with Facebook ended that day.

Watching bees in the backyard, going all over the Italian sage plant. I can do that for hours.
I have a goatee, and the feel of anything liquid going through the hair on my chin freaks me out. I also keep napkins handy.

Sensory sensitivity can present in a lot of different ways, and some of them are easy to mask.
I don't like my hands feeling sticky or slimy. *Really* don't like it. When I'm doing anything that might cause that, I wear disposable gloves. I keep boxes of them in the house, all over, so they're right there. People have told me how smart and prepared I am, when I'm cooking or cleaning or doing anything else that might get on my hands.
So... me. Work in aerospace, more space, not as much aero. Can fix my own car, choose not to. Can fix the random appliance of your choice. Hardcore introvert in person, which is why I love online. Lifelong science fiction fan. Read constantly. Scalzi is my favorite author, because he mixes exactly the right amount of snark into his writing. Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.
