Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

Born and raised in Utah, and it is beautiful.
Shame about the people, though.
In some ways, it looks like something from a Sci-Fi movie, except that, rather than being dystopian, it is a rugged, wild landscape of silence, shadows and light, rich color, and timeless beauty.
To live in a place like this would be challenging, but to visit it, to even know that it exists, is a privilege.
It is, indeed, as if the gods lived here.

My household is 2 EVs, both built in the US, and the build quality is excellent on both.
A Tesla wasn't even on the list while I was looking, and there are a lot of other options out there.

Climate change is supposed to give SoCal cooler, wetter winters and hotter summers. So far we haven't seen much of the hotter, just the cooler and wetter.
While the rest of the country has been baking, my part of sunny SoCal has been dealing with cool, cloudy weather. My parrot is not happy, she likes warm days.

We have ginger growing beautifully, in coastal Ventura County. We planted it next to a fence, in the shade of an orange tree. It seems to be happy there.

Dealing with some stuff.
Last summer I wound up in the ER, and the doctor told DMV that I'm medically unfit to drive. My license was suspended. Got a DMV hearing and they restored it, and I thought it was done. Now auto insurance non-renewed me, and I'm shopping for insurance, after 20 years with the same company.
Change. Change I have no control over. Change I didn't agree to. I'm trying to get through this part as fast as I can.
