Exactly: Survival of the fittest.

Survival of the one that fits best in the ecological niche.

My field is fairly technical, and someone in HR likely knows nothing about any job I'd be qualified for. So it's all down to buzzwords, and a guessing game - which buzzwords might the technical manager have written down and told the HR wonk to look for?
If I've guessed right, I get an interview, or a phone call to get more information. If I've guessed wrong, I get a letter thanking me for wasting both our time, but "we're still exploring our options."

Poll after poll finds majorities want #Trump to withdraw. That info's in the 14th or 15th graph of every write up of a poll showing that Biden's unpopular.

Trump's unfavorables, 54%, are 2 pts better than Biden's 56% in 538's avg.

Most people wanting the convicted felon not to run just isn't a story for some reason. Shit like his "black outreach" gets more coverage.

But people are still in denial about the media's role in this mess.

The effects from climate change are harming many populations, but there's one group of animals that is thriving: cephalopods. This is an amazing story about the resilience of octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish. I am ready for octo-world! mbl.edu/news/what-can-cephalop

Nearly half of the voters in this country want an adjudicated rapist to hold office again.

As reporting suggests that Biden plans to support reforms to the Supreme Court, new polling indicates that most Americans, viewing the court with disapproval, support age and term limits. washingtonpost.com/politics/20

Florida's / DeSantis' "don't say climate change" at the national level.

Because if you ignore a problem it always goes away, and nothing bad ever happens.

Interesting article. I do cry at movies - but *never* when other people are there. I can probably count on one hand the number of people who have ever seen me cry.
I don't know why - it just seems very intimate and vulnerable, and I'll do whatever it takes (including inappropriate jokes) to break the feeling before it can get to that point.

A question, for anyone who wants to answer, about trust.

If someone breaks your trust in a fundamental way, can you "get over it" and trust them again?
I have a situation where I'm being told I need to get over it, and I think I have - I'm no longer angry. But trust them again? Put myself in a situation where I could be hurt by them again? No. I've never done that before, why should I start now?

And is this a me thing, or an autism thing?

It'll be appealed to the 11th circuit, where Cannon has already been slapped down more than once. Hopefully he'll ask for it to be reassigned.

And that will ripple out into more jobs, from Amtrak and subcontractors to Amtrak, to further raise employment and wage competition, influencing wage offers in other areas.

Who could have guessed that bottom-up economics works better than trickle-down?
