I announced, he decided not to hear.
I'm in my element because this is about specifications and operation and mechanical/electronic things. He goes by subjective reviews and impressions.
[shrug] The math worked.

Surprising hubs is an astoundingly difficult thing to do, but this did. Despite me telling him we need to get him into an EV before me (my car gets 10+ higher mpg than his) and that I'd gotten pre-approved for financing with a 30 day deadline to buy, and that we were looking at cars for him. When I actually did it, he was surprised. I saw the car, the price, model, color all worked, and I did it. Much to his displeasure.
He had a meltdown. First the car, then the charger, and now I'm pushing him to get the rate information. Why didn't I involve him in any of this?
Because he agonizes, and can't make a decision. He drags it out until forced into a decision by timing, and then he grumbles about it when he makes the decision I knew he was going to make all along. Let's skip all that and just get to the end.
Hubs is not happy. But he likes the car I bought him.

I'm totally in my element, and hubs is feeling railroaded. Another day in my life.
We've talked about an EV for months, we've looked, I knew what he likes. So I bought him one last week. Yesterday I got the plug installed and ordered the charger for the garage - delivered tomorrow. This morning I told him I need the details on the power rate plan we're on; what rates are charged at which time of day.

A man is sitting next to his newborn baby's cot. From the other room his father comes in and lays a hand on his shoulder.
"You've done really well, mate. You'll make a brilliant dad."
The son looks up and smiles with a bit of anxiety in his voice. "Thanks, Dad. I really hope so."
The old man pulls out a small book from his back pocket and hands it to his son. "Now that you're a parent, I'd like you to have this. I studied it for the first year of your life and memorised every single one. I'd love you to use it for my grandson."
The son looks at the cover which is titled 1000 Dad Jokes To Annoy Your Children. He looks up with tears in his eyes. "Dad...I'm honoured."
His dad smiles: "Hello, Honoured. I'm Dad."

Hardcover and paperback get separate shelves, and in descending order of size/thickness.
How do my #ActuallyAutistic comrades organize their libraries?
Hubs = the man I married.

98.6 is typical, but people have different baselines. I run about a degree lower than that.
Want one? Come and get them! Multiple colors available ππΌπ
I ride grocery carts like a push scooter. Drives hubs nuts, I don't care - it's fun.

I don't know about absorb what's in the music, but those times I can't figure out what I'm feeling, the music I listen to tells me a lot.
Watch out for that Y2K thing - I hear it could be big trouble.
