Together with a guy 30+ years, married since it was legal. Own a home in CA and don't plan to leave unless I immigrate to another country.

The day @KevBot and I both became βfully vaxxedβ in May of 2021, we went out to this restaurant with a patio for our first public dining experience in over a year.
It was cold AF but we were just happy to be βfreeβ and we took a photo of each other to commemorate the moment.
This resulted in us starting a tradition of taking photos wherever weβd go and I kept compiling them into 9x9 grids until I got up to 144 photos and was finally like okay, Alice, thatβs enough.
I realize itβs ridiculously excessive, but weβd spent the prior year not even knowing if weβd ever be able to go to a restaurant again and we didnβt know how long it was going to last, so we were just trying to take advantage of it while we could.
Iβm Bendix, a queer sex worker and artist. I love cats and sci-fi, and goth will never leave my heart. My trans*ness and disability inform much of what I do and maybe even more of what I don't do. Iβm sex positive, a tired activist, a lover of bdsm and retro video games, a life-long student of marginalised thinking, and in every little thing I do thereβs some art and caring to be found.
Iβm here to show art and nsfw stuff, and build my own little utopia of the anti-normative.
When people are coming over, I don't "tidy up", I rip the house apart, clean all the pieces, then rebuild it.
Not contradictory, just autistic. I miss having people I can talk to - really talk to. But I also hate crowds, parties, nearly ever kind of social gathering. I don't know, maybe if there was a party just for NT people.

From past experience, I don't categorize people as friends, usually. I have several acquaintances, people I might go to a restaurant or a movie with, but friends are a different category. Friends are people I wouldn't worry about cleaning the house and making everything "just right" before they get here.
I think that's just rude, to only invite your ass. They should invite all of you.

And to this day, when I'm walking down the sidewalk, I avoid stepping on the seams between sections. I set my stride so my feet always land on the solid surface.

I used to tell people I bitterly resented being promised flying cars and didn't get one, but one day I was walking around someone's backyard, having a video chat with someone 3 states away on my tablet, and I stopped and realized "Oh, yeah, this is the future. This, right here."

I don't think so. My life was much the same, in a small town in Utah. My haven was the public library, and I went where ever I wanted, and got books from every section (but lived in the Science Fiction section). It let me know there was a lot more out there than I ever saw in my little town, and gave me hope that I could be part of it.

Secret Service was in touch with the #OathKeepers. An agent described himself as βthe unofficial liaison to the Oath Keepers (inching towards official),β and called the fascist group "very pro-LEO and pro-Trump." Said they were defending Trumpers from violent leftists.
