As a weirdo, I have mixed feelings about the use of 'weird' to attack the far right.
Obviously, it's accurate. Also it seems to rattle them, and I appreciate that.
I just can't help worrying about people reinforcing the stigma against weirdness without registering what they're doing.

Fun fact: The name of the original book was a typo that they decided to keep. The original title was The Shart Of The Deal.
FWIW, that is a Fox "News" talking point.
The base premise of the statement - that border crossings have increased - is incorrect. They're down.
The premise on top of that - that Harris can or should be standing at the border herself - is also wrong. She was meeting with the countries where the immigrants are coming from, trying to find a way to reduce the flow at the source.
The final premise - that she's done badly - is also wrong. Border crossings are down.

Last time he had the home court advantage. He controlled the military, the national guard, and the Capital Police. This time he doesn't have that.
Instead they're lining up "poll watchers" to try to intimidate people into not voting, and he's recruited elections officials from the district/county level up to Secretaries of State, to screw with the vote counts. He's trying to sneak in, this time.
I saw it, I didn't think it was hostile. It was definitely "don't try to feed me a line of bullshit" - something I think he's needed for a long time. But hostile? No.
Now if she'd asked something like "Why are you such a racist sack of shit?
That would have been hostile.
What's most fascinating to me about the discourse around the #NABJ Trump interview is how many people think Scott's opening question was "hostile". It really reflects the reality of so many #BIPOC folks-- where literally just saying that someone has done something racist (especially in the workplace), even just repeating back their own racist words/ actions, (no matter *what* tone you use) gets you labeled "hostile" or "aggressive" or "angry". Saying the question was "hostile" speaks volumes.
To be fair, Russia used to have more friends, but a lot of them fell out of open windows, fell down stairs, or got mugged while out walking near the Kremlin.
Windows, stairwells and Kremlin walks are apparently the leading cause of death in Putin's Russia.
They still practice a more traditional form of wrestling in Turkey. It's totally straight.
Really, I swear, it is. Ask them, they'll tell you.
"I didn't know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black and now she wants to be known as black," he said at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago on Wednesday.
