Federal employees killed an endangered Mexican gray wolf.

Affectionately named Rusty by a middle school student in a nationwide contest, the wolf was killed on April 12, leaving behind his likely pregnant mate and several yearling pups.

Imagine reading out your alt text to a friend.

Would they then be able to join in the conversation, on equal terms with someone who'd seen the original picture? Or did you leave out a crucial bit?

It isn't only for blind people. It might just be that someone's server is running slow that day and the pic hasn't arrived. But same principle either way: loop people in, if they happen to not be able to see the pic just then.

Hey humans, sorry I wasn't responsive lately, been having the worst tonsillitis for the past week, high fever and bed ridden. Miss being active here and hearing from ya'll. I'm actually really impressed with nature rn. Like this is so awful, this bacteria seems to be penicillin resistant, but I'm also impressed. Been on antibiotics for 5 days and it's only getting worse. I want some of that bad bitch energy the bacteria has to kick her out of my system.

Normally I only post pictures that I took myself, but today I'll make an exception with a picture a friend made. As I had to stay in the valley due to a back injury, I was not able to accompany my friends to the summit of this epic mountain: Store Trolltind (1'788m / 5'886ft).

Although the mountain is not spectacular in elevation (even for Norway it is not especially high), it does have the highest vertical cliff of the whole of Europe! From the summit it drops almost completely to the valleyfloor (1'700m / 5'600ft drop).

My back hurt, but my heart even more.
