I'm resurrecting an old special interest and making it new. As a child I wanted to put together models, but I'd get impatient and want to skip to the end. That doesn't work. In my adult life I've developed a love of process - creating a list and checking things off one at a time. I've checked off nearly all the things to prep, and in my time off during the holidays I'm going to begin putting together a model. My first as an adult.

I had a couple of incidents where I was in public, and my glasses fogged, and put down my items in a weird place and left so I could take my mask off as soon as possible.
For him, it was the communication anxiety and poor audio decoding. He also had a lot of anxiety around not being able to see people's facial expressions fully because he was struggling more to pick up on how other people might be feeling.
@ScottSoCal after going done the rabbit hole ok this, it appears life on earth will end long before this occurs. Some .5 to 1.5 billion years from now.

When they cast an actor in a movie, in a speaking part, but then have someone else sing and the actor just lipsyncs it. It's jarring, it throws me out of the movie and all I can think is "that's not his/her voice, how am I supposed to go along with this?"
We're watching a musical. And an actor is lipsyncing to someone else singing.

First utility (it's the internet connection) ordered in new name :-)
Due to the Irish system of utility bills being proof of address etc. this was another milestone - and required a bit of planning to set up utilities appropriately so both my partner and I had proof of address in the needed names.
@Dr_Obvious @Susan60 @independentpen @homelessjun @actuallyautistic I can smell rain coming - it's not petrichor, it's something to do with the change in the air pressure or humidity. I can sometimes smell rain coming about a day before it actually rains.
I only recently found out that this is not just a normal thing, when I mention it, people say "It SMELLS like rain what do you mean?" as if I'm making it up.

my friend CK, who i have lost to suicide, was a furry. he had a manul sona. i have an artwork of his that he used for a profile picture. he always wanted to have more, but due to his poverty he couldn't afford them.
and...i thought, what if someone could like, draw something in memory of him. as a tribute. it's what he would've wanted.

Hey all! This is #Transgender Awareness Week! Some of my dearest friends and family are transgender. Not everyone is made binary male/female, and it would be pretty boring if it was.
Sometimes the original equipment doesn't match the brain. I think that would be hard in a world where people like easy answers. Remember to be kind. π

More seriously: do not let this one bomb, folks. This is a Marvel feature with three female headliners, two of them women of color, directed by a woman of color, written by three women. If this does poorly (or even not spectacularly enough), it will be taken as evidence that women shouldn't feature prominently in blockbusters.
Let's prove them wrong.

The former guy refers to the January 6 defendants as βhostagesβ and βpolitical prisoners.β We must never forget this: They are people who physically assaulted police officers while trying to stop the peaceful transfer of power. They are no heroes. They are convicted felons.
Some of you may know I was a political strategist as recently as the last election cycle. The only message that I have for you is that your vote is needed in 2024.
There are some big voices that think because of earlier this week, that the left is assured a win and that is far from the truth.
Please vote, inspire others to vote and do the work to win voters. Nothing bad comes from that approach!
