Exuberant celebratory glee
We got really good news at work today about a project that I worked really hard to complete during much of last year.
Seeing as how I have in the past spent days beating myself up for failures, I think I deserve to take at least a few hours today to bask in the warm glow of success.
Music and dancing, or suitable sensory stimulation, and drinks all around!
βI don't think the Chinese Communist Party would hesitate to shoot down an American asset that was in their airspace.β https://www.msnbc.com/andrea-mitchell-reports/watch/rep-mike-gallagher-i-don-t-think-china-would-hesitate-to-shoot-down-a-u-s-asset-in-their-airspace-162573893825 They don't hesitate to dump rocket debris on inhabited areas, either. I don't think this is the best yardstick.

Gay Liberation (1981) by George Segal, Stanford University, Palo Alto California. One of two that were created to honor the Stonewall Riots, Stanford acquired this when another location balked because of potential controversy. It has been vandalized at times over the years. One such incident required its removal to restore and Stanford students "stood in" as real life substitutes till it got back #Art #publicart #artphotography #photography #artwork #gay #sculpture #LGBTQIA+
I had a really good night out at #TheWaterRats last night. I went to see @skaly, who was fantastic, and was impressed by some of the other acts, too. A nice variety of excellent music.
I need more #dutch content in my timeline
Dear New York Times,
Forcing women to give birth against their will is βbig government.β Protecting an 88-year-old program like Social Security isnβt. Whether you agree with Biden on the fine points, itβs obvious that heβs trying to save rational, democratic government from the ongoing fascist assault. Thatβs why itβs so disheartening to see the Times adopt the cynical framing of the fascists, as this headline does.
About ten years ago a flying squirrel snuck into my house and spent a few hours playing hide-and-seek with my cat. Anyways. Here's the best photo you're likely to ever see of a flying squirrel hiding inside a #sunmicrosystems E4000 server chassis. #retrocomputing #mammals
Zelensky hugs BBC Ukrainian reporter at news conference
During a press conference, a BBC Ukrainian journalist rose to her feet and prefaced her question by saying she would like to give #Zelensky a hug, but would probably not be allowed.
βWhy not?β Zelensky responded, before vacating his lectern and offering a warm embrace.
